Principal and Executive Director: Jeannie Gordon QN, RMN, BSc (Hons), PGCE, MA.

Jeannie trained as a psychiatric nurse with both residential and community experience of working with young children, adolescents and their families. Since 1987, she has worked in a multi-agency setting offering a variety of parenting programmes, these include all the Webster Stratton Incredible Years Parenting Programmes. Jeannie is also author of the FLASH (Families Learning about Self- Harm) and STOP (A Supportive Programme For Parents of Teenagers) programmes.

Debbi Barnes

Director, Senior Project Development Practitioner SAAIF and STOP Programmes, Head of Safeguarding and Chair Ministry of Parenting’s Parents Advisory Group. Debbi studied as a Counsellor, worked with Essex County Council as an Education Welfare Officer and went on to become the County’s first Family Support and Liaison Worker.

Office Manager and Senior Administrator. Andrea has worked in Communications, Business Development, Marketing and PR for over 25 years working with a number of growing and successful organisations.

Parenting Group Facilitator delivering STOP and Incredible Years School-Aged parenting programmes in South Essex. Lesley is an energetic, self- motivated tutor with significant experience within adult education. Lesley holds extensive skills in managing people, working with partners, adults and children, achieving goals and providing an innovative, responsive and creative quality service.

Anna Bodal Hansen

Anna Bodal Hansen

Parenting Group Facilitator delivering STOP and Incredible Years School-Aged parenting programmes in Mid and West Essex. Anna is an innovative, conscientious, confident and self-motivated practitioner, with sound knowledge, strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Anna has previously held the position of Mellow Parenting Practitioner and Coordinator and Trainer for Trainees.

Our Associate Partners

Our Associate Partners are independent professionals who support the work of The Ministry of Parenting through delivery of Incredible Years trainings and supervision, in partnership with Jeannie Gordon.

Jane Davidson

Jane is an Incredible Years mentor and qualified social worker who has been involved in working with parents and carers, for over 20 years, in both the voluntary and statutory sector in preventative work and in child protection work. Jane has been leading Incredible Years Parent and Teacher groups since 2004. Jane mentors in Dorset, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

April Shepherdson

April lives and works in the East of England. She has over 25 years’ experience of working with children and families as a registered learning disabilities nurse, working in the community for the NHS, local authority and voluntary sectors. Before moving into her current role within the NHS as a health visitor working in early years (Children aged 0-5 years), she was employed for more than 11 years in a CAMHS team (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service), delivering both Basic (2-8 years) and School Age (8-12 years) Incredible Years Parenting programmes. April holds a post graduate diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing.
